Flowers and Embossed Stems ~ Handcrafted from 22 gauge galvanized sheet metal ~ Pop Riveting ~ Metal Shaping

The Tea House, a pagoda style table lamp from my new series called Fender Bender. Inspired by the auto body industry and their techniques with sheet metal manipulation.

I crafted this lamp from 22 gauge sheet metal by folding the material into different compartments and then pop riveting them together. All surfaces have been finished with metal blueing to tone down the shiny nature of galvanized metal. Rose color painted steel flowers were attached via 1/4-20 rivet nuts and the stems embossed via bead roller.

Four folded panels with holes punched out via dimple die set and riveted together make the lampshade. A mother of pearl glass with tones of pink and teal green adorns this illuminated metal art. The lamp base is made from 1/4" steel that has been threaded for attaching hardware. Circular leather pieces were cut for the foot pads, making it extra stable and scratch free on furniture. Two 35 watt equivalent led bayonet style bulbs light up this first edition center piece.

Note: one of the glass panels in the lampshade cracked in two places and was glued back together. I did try to find a replacement but it wasn't available. It is well secured to the shade. A proper photo shoot is on my schedule for better pictures and will edit this listing to add images.
